Unit 1

✖️ Multiplication

Multiplication is fast adding of equal groups. 6 × 7 means six groups of seven, or seven groups of six — same answer!

Key facts to memorize: The multiplication table is your best tool. Practice by skip-counting: 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49 (the 7s). Any number × 0 = 0. Any number × 1 = itself.

➗ Division

Division splits a total into equal groups. It's the opposite of multiplication — use your times tables to help!

Think multiplication: To solve 54 ÷ 6, ask: "6 × ? = 54?" The answer is 9, because 6 × 9 = 54.

🍕 Fractions

A fraction shows part of a whole. The bottom number (denominator) is how many equal parts in total. The top number (numerator) is how many parts we have.

Reading fractions: 3/8 means "3 out of 8 equal parts." The bigger the denominator, the smaller each piece — so 1/8 is smaller than 1/4.

Unit 4

📐 Area & Perimeter

Perimeter is the distance around a shape. Area is the space inside a shape, measured in square units.

Formulas for rectangles:
Perimeter = 2 × (length + width)  ·  Area = length × width
Rectangle: L=6, W=4→Area=24 sq units, Perimeter=20 units
